Mark Agee

President

Mark Agee, licensed Master Electrician, has been a member of Independent Electrical Contractors since 2005. Mark has over 30 years of small business experience as the owner/founder of Agee Electric, Inc. His charismatic personality makes him perfectly suited to the role of CEO.

After serving on the Board of Directors of the Inland Empire Associated Builders and Contractors for many years, Mark stepped up to help form the Eastern Washington Chapter of IEC and has served on the Board of Directors of the Independent Electrical Contractors of Washington Educational Training Fund since 2005.

When he’s not in meetings or out on a job site, Mark spends his time with his grandsons or flying high in his Cessna. He is also an elder at His Place Church.

Chuck Stegeman

Vice President

Chuck is the owner of Stegeman Electric in Grandview, WA. A licensed journeyman electrician since 1980, he purchased Stegeman Electric in 1997 and has continuously continued operations since that time.

A Washington native, Chuck is a graduate of Grandview High School and JM Perry Electrical Institute in Yakima, WA.

Rod Dahl

Secretary/Treasurer

Rod Dahl began work in the electrical industry in 1977 accumulating more than 30 years in design-build and project supervision. In 1980 Rod employed his electrical knowledge to found Dahl’s Valley Electric which later became Dahl Electric, Inc. where he remains President and General Manager.

His commitment to the industry is evidenced in the 10 years he served as President of the Independent Electrical Contractors of Washington Educational Training Fund, a Washington State certified apprenticeship program, multiple terms as President of the Northwest Washington IEC Chapter, and his long standing memberships in IEC National, Associated General Contractors, Building Industry Association of Washington, and Skagit Island Counties Builders Association.

Everett Knudson

Board Member

Everett Kundson began his electrical career in 1963 as an apprentice for Gage Electric in Walla Walla. He progressed through his career as an apprentice, journeyman, project manager, estimator, Master Electrician (Washington) and Supervisor (Oregon). In 1975 Everett opened Walla Walla Electric where he now serves as President and CEO.

Dedicated to the industry and trade for many years, Everett taught apprenticeship classes and National Electrical Code classes for Walla Walla Community College. Additionally, Everett serves as president of the Board of Directors of the IEC of Washington Educational Training Fund. He has been a member in the Walla Wall Contractors Association, Walla Walla Planning Council, Walla Walla Building & Trades Council, Lilly Rice Center, Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Exchange Club among others.

Paul Canter

Board Member

Proud owner of Energized Electric, Paul Canter has been a licensed journeyman electrician since 1984 and a Master Electrician (equivalent) since 1993.

Paul’s dedication to the electrical trade has long been demonstrated by his membership in Inland Empire Associated Builders and Contractors where he served both on the Board of Directors and the Training Trust. He was a founding member of the Eastern Washington Chapter IEC in 2005. Paul currently serves as a board member of the Independent Electrical Contractors of Washington Educational Training Fund since 2005.

He is involved in many community based organizations designed to benefit the community as a whole including charities whose mission is to help fight childhood disease.

Donald Howat

Board Member

Don Howat is a native Washingtonian and has been working as an electrician since he was seventeen. In addition to a notable electrical career spanning 40+ years, his achievements include military service and teaching college-level industrial arts.

In 2005, he purchased Blue Mountain Electric. Veteran-owned, the company is honored to also employ a growing number of veterans. As a business owner, Don believes it is impossible to be successful without excellent employees and strives to strengthen that excellence at every opportunity through mentorship, training and safe practices.

Don has been a Board member of the IEC of Washington Chapter since 2012, and also served on the Board of the NW Washington IEC Chapter for several years. He is actively involved in his community through his local Rotary Club and City Park projects.

Robert Taylor

Board Member

Robert Taylor started Arcadia Electric, Inc (AEI) an electrical contracting business, as a sole proprietorship in 1975. The main office has always been located in Shelton Washington. Administrator and Master Electrician for over thirty years, Robert is the CEO/President of AEI.

He is dedicated to the electrical industry. That commitment has led to his being one of the founding members of the sister organization IEC of Washington Educational Fund and continues to serve on the Board of Directors of that organization. As a participant in that organization, Robert established the AEI Tuition Scholarship in 2008. Additionally, Robert helped found the Puget Sound Washington IEC Chapter and served on the board of that organization until its dissolution in 2011.

Jolie Estes

Executive Director

Jolie Estes was appointed Executive Director of the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) of Washington in 2012.  In this role, she superintends the broad assortment of Chapter activities, working closely with the Board of Directors, members, and associates to realize the organization’s strategic objectives. The IEC of Washington Chapter is the leading voice for the merit-shop electrical contractor in Washington State.  Jolie has also served as the Training Director for IEC of Washington Chapter’s sister organization, IEC of Washington Educational Training Fund since 2002.

Jolie has over fifteen years of experience in non-profit and event management, working with various trades in the construction industry, the technology field, and professional organizations.  For more than five years, Jolie worked with the military at various installations both domestic and overseas.

She earned her B.S. in Education – Recreation and Park Administration, cum laude, from University of Memphis.  She holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from Walden University.  She is a member of American Society of Association Executives and has volunteered her time with the Children’s Museum of Skagit County, Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, and the USO.
